Scott Houston CEO of Executive Risk Solutions and a former Special Air Service regiment corporal, has been certified and licensed to use the Australian Veteran Owned Business Certification Trademark.

The Australian Veteran Owned Business is a third party certifier which promotes the recognition of ADF veteran owned and operated businesses. The third party certification allows ERS to apply a unique certification trademark across the business. This trademark not only enables us to proudly showcase our military service, but for clients to make educated purchasing decisions in knowing that they are dealing with a veteran. The Australian Veteran Owned Business is also focused on cultivating a sense of community and camaraderie amongst its members.

Scott shaped his business on military values and standards which assisted him greatly in building a successful award winning company. His background in the SAS ensured that he always approaches every task with a can-do attitude.

Executive Risk Solutions’ staff have backgrounds in Military, the police, special forces, fire and emergency services. The company has teams in Western Australia, Queensland and the Middle East, working for major companies, government agencies and not-for-profit organisations. More than 50% of ERS employees are ex-military members, including Scott Houston CEO, Daniel Wright Security Operations Manager, Tim Curtis International Operations Director, Mark Salmon Operations Manager and Nick Whitehead Queensland Operations Manager.

ERS are also heavily involved in the defence community. In instance Mr Houston is a supporter of the Special Air Service Regiment (SAS) Resource Trust  and regularly donates to the foundation which is close to his heart. The SAS Trust is an organisation that supports the children who have lost fathers in service with the SAS. The company is also working with the SAS Trust to help develop a transition program for ex-service people leaving the military.

ERS is excited to be a member of the Australian Veteran Owned Business community and trust that there will be many opportunities of mutual benefit in to the future for both organisations.
