Meet Norei Norazman. Registered Paramedic, Wellness Coach and all-around good guy. Ask anyone in the field or within Head Office and you’ll always get the same response: Norei is exceptional at his job and always willing to assist. We take a look at the career journey of our emergency response superstar who joined the team three years ago and is now heading Clinical Co-ordination for Executive Risk Solutions.
Chatting to Norei, there’s no question that becoming a paramedic was always on the cards.
NOREI KICKS OFF HIS CAREER
In 2003, his career journey took off with a fulfilling role as a Basic Life Support Ambulance Officer in Singapore. Quickly recognised for his passion in pre-hospital care, he spent the next few years immersing himself in the role and refining his skill set.
In 2007, he joined New South Wales Ambulance where he received his initial paramedic training and worked his way up as an Intensive Care Paramedic. A demanding yet rewarding role, his time was focussed on advanced life support and pre-hospital trauma, applying advanced clinical management of acute emergency, paramedic mentoring and education.
In 2018, Norei joined ERS as an intensive care paramedic, working across various mining and offshore oil and gas projects. He provided exceptional on-ground expertise, sound clinical judgement and worked autonomously in remote clinics.
NOREI PROVES HIMSELF TIME AND TIME AGAIN
This year, after proving himself time and time again, Norei was appointed Clinical Co-ordinator for ERS. No one day is ever the same and you can find him doing everything from recruiting and credentialing medical staff, facilitating medical onboarding, and overseeing the ERS Clinical Governance Framework, through to performing site audits / clinical reviews and setting up site medical clinic and poisons permits. Known for his natural teaching ability, he leads education and professional development sessions for medical personnel.
Never one to stop learning, Norei is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Exercise) with the University of South Australia (Online).
And when he’s not at work, you’ll find him knee-deep in his passion for health, fitness, and preventive nutrition.
