ERS has been so busy lately in Crisis and Emergency Management, consulting to WA ports, hotels, mines, IT and facility management companies that we had to expand our team of emergency management specialists.

Howard Fiedler joined ERS as their Emergency Management Specialist a month ago, after seven years’ extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry as the principal emergency management advisor to Woodside Energy. Howard worked in onshore, offshore and international projects and production areas.

Previously Howard has been with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) for 20 years leaving as the Assistant Chief Operating Officer (Country Western Australia). His responsibilities included the direction and management of FESA’s operational capability across all hazards outside the Perth Metropolitan area. This role encompassed the Fire & Rescue Service, Bush Fire Service, State Emergency Services, Volunteer Emergency Services and the Volunteer Marine Rescue Service. Howard, as State Duty Manager, successfully led many of the Western Australian emergency service responses to natural and man-made disasters.

Howard represented WA as the Deputy Chair of the State Chemical, Biological and Radiological committee, Deputy Chair of the state Hazmat committee, Chair of the State Urban Search and Rescue Committee. He was executive officer to the State Emergency Services advisory committee and State Bushfire Advisory Committee and sat on the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Advisory committee and Volunteer Marine Rescue Advisory committee.
